Based in Englewood, Aspen Oil is part of a large cooperative of like-minded recyclers utilizing a 100-acre site where over one million dollars was recently invested for a state-of-the-art Solar Farm. Other collectives on site recycle trees, shrubs, branches, lumber, grass clippings, soil, concrete, asphalt and many other items generated by the Denver Metro area. Aspen Oil is proud to be the only collector who utilizes the recycled trees, shrubs, bushes, and other waste wood products on site in our 500k BTU bio mass boiler used to heat the oil at our processing facility. What does all that mean? We purchase the recycled waste wood product that is used to burn in our bio mass boiler to make our oil really hot in our processing process.

Our processing facility, which was designed by our founders, was built using 98% surplus or repurposed materials. Our consideration for the environment extends beyond our EPA approved multi-fuel boiler, which is capable of burning wood pellets, corn, sunflower seed shells, and other materials that typically end up in a land fill, and into the way we conduct every aspect of our business.

Aspen Oil currently uses a number of different trucks that have been designed around efficiency. They are fueled by biodiesel. In contrast to our competitors who use multiple vehicles to set up, pump, move, or swap containment; we designed our own trucks so that one operator can perform a variety of tasks. You ladies aren’t the only ones who can multi-task, so can our trucks. This is one notable component of our reduction of fuel consumption and carbon output.
